Dad - The Most Important Man In The World

No matter where your day takes you, when you walk in that door every night, you are a superhero. You are the strongest, smartest, most noble man on Earth! You can solve any problem, see through any situation; you can make anything better.

Here is some really good news: You, Dad, have the power to give your children what no one else can!

You alone have more influence on some of the decisions your child may or may not make; whether they participate in risky adolescent behavior such as drugs, alcohol, prescription drug abuse or sexual activity; how they feel about themselves, and how successful they will be. You even have more influence than Twitter, rap music, or anything Hollywood puts out!

Dads and their Daughters
No one in the world is more important to a daughter than her father. Forever she will be sizing up every boy and every man to you, including her future husband. What do you want that man to look like? If you want her to marry someone who is open and honest, someone who demonstrates character and integrity, then be that man. Show her what it looks like for a man to treat a woman with respect.
Bulletin

Your daughter doesn't need another friend, she needs her dad. She needs a hero. One who is willing to walk into embarrassing, uncomfortable, or even life threatening situations to rescue her. You might have to show up at a party, or at a boyfriend's house. You might need to tell her that her clothes are not appropriate. She may be humiliated, she may be furious, but in the end she'll know you cared enough to protect her.

Dads and their Sons

Dad, your son needs to know that you think he's got what it takes to be a man. In his eyes, you are the source of all answers. You are smarter, stronger, and tougher than anyone else. He knows he'll have his mother's love, but a son's self-worth is dependent on feeling (or receiving) a father's pride and respect. He watches you to see what you do with your strength, what you do when you lose your temper.
He watches to see if you'll stand by your beliefs and what you think is right. He sees how you discipline yourself, how committed you are to your family, and where you spend your time. He learns how to be a man by watching you.

Dad, your kids need to know that you will stick with them even when they push you away. They need to know that you love them unconditionally, even when they fail. Let them know you have the courage to do what it takes; you have the strength to stick it out no matter what. No matter how long it takes, you'll never give up on them. Nothing will stop you from protecting them, from fighting for them, and being there for them - you are their super hero.
